Extracting cannabis seeds from female Ganja ladies

Andreas Leschke

Now your ladies get ink on the fountain pen

After I already showed you how to propagate your favorite plant through cuttings in my blog post "Taking Cuttings from Mother Plants," in this post I will show you ways to get seeds from your female weed ladies!

In contrast to propagation by cuttings, which is unfortunately only possible with photoperiodic grindgrass ladies, ALL methods I will show you work just as well with Automatic Genetics!

This time it’s all about the nitty-gritty!!
So, first roll yourself a joint in peace, treat yourself to a coffee, then you'll absorb this article in no time and learn how to manipulate the DNA of your beloved lady so that she becomes a hermaphrodite and will give you viable, 100% female seeds.

I will reveal to you ALL the secrets of the "cannabis seed industry" so that after reading this post, you will not only be able to obtain seeds from your favorite plant, but you will even be able to join the ranks of ganja breeders and cross your own genetics!

1. Obtain seeds through "stress".

Anyone who "accidentally" found seeds in the flowers during a grow after harvest will realize by reflecting on the grow that the grow was not optimal or that the plant showed extreme stress symptoms during the flowering period.

Mother Nature's secret as to why this phenomenon occurs can be explained by the fact that a plant that is healthy and vital has enough time to wait until it is "impregnated" by male poles and can thus reproduce, because it leads to reproduction through natural pollination.

A stressed or even sick plant, on the other hand, literally suffers from "gate-closing panic" for fear of dying at the end of its normal life cycle, which leads to hormonal changes, whereby the plant can begin to hermaphrodite and develop small pollen sacs on the flowers in order to be able to pollinate itself.

However, this varies greatly from genetic to genetic. There are genetics that are so stable, like Jack Herrer, Super Skunk, and Girl Scout Cookies, that you can fuck the plant up as much as you want, but it rarely results in seeds. Other genetics, like Gorilla Glue or Mango Smile, are more prone to hermaphrodites!

It is also not possible to determine how much stress the plant should be subjected to, nor what type of stress is most ideal for this method.

The only certain factor is that the plant is most susceptible to hermaphroditism in the pre-flowering period, such as the beginning of flowering (the first 3-4 weeks).
If, for example, there is a pest infestation at this time (because you suddenly placed your plants outdoors without protection) or if there are very irregular light cycles, this can lead to the plant becoming hermaphroditic, just like a lack of nutrients or water deprivation!

2. Obtain seeds through "overripeness"

Just like the stress method, with the over-ripening method we put the Ganja Lady in a panic.
It is important to understand that the plant develops top shoots with huge buds in order to better collect pollen and reproduce more easily.

For this reason, with this method, we allow the topmost, most productive shoots to overripe. It should be clear that the trichomes are decaying and already darkened considerably.

As soon as the plant realizes this won't work because there are no males in the ganja forest, it will panic and, out of sheer desperation, begin to hermaphrodite to "pleasure" itself. The weed buds then develop small, banana-like growths containing pollen on the upper shoots, which the female can then use to pollinate herself.

This method is incredibly simple and anyone can implement it, but it's also very unreliable. Here, too, there are some genetics where it works well and others where it doesn't work at all.

Likewise, as with the stress method, it doesn't even come close to the yield of seeds that can be obtained if you choose the 100% safe methods that I'm now presenting to you, which will even enable you to cross your own genetics and join the league of weed breeders:

3. Obtain seeds with “colloidal silver”.

Anyone who has always wanted to know the secret of the "Cannabis Seed Industry" to producing feminized seeds should definitely pay attention now, because this method leads to 100% success and produces the highest yield of female seeds.

The only disadvantages are that you have to invest some money and the process only serves to obtain seeds, but the plant is no longer suitable for human consumption afterwards.

This is due to the fact that we spray the entire plant with a precious metal solution, which causes silver particles to end up in the flowers, which is hazardous to human health.

However, the flowers harvested from weed plants derived from the seeds obtained no longer have this "disease." Only the buds of the sprayed hermaphrodite plant should be destroyed and not consumed!

To order "colloidal silver" you can either go to Amazon, Kaufland or other online portals or buy it from your local pharmacy.
The solution should be at least 30 ppm concentrated, with 40 ppm being more ideal. In my opinion, 100 ppm is too high and unnecessary.

The plant and flower industry also uses this agent during the vegetative phase to protect plants from diseases and pests.

The process begins with photoperiod plants when you set the light cycle to 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness to encourage the cannabis lady to flower.
With automatic genetics, the process begins from pre-flowering, as soon as the first small hairs can be seen at the nodes.

The entire plant is sprayed with the colloidal silver spray until it is completely moist and you can easily see how it shines.

DANGER!!
If you have your plants in an indoor tent with LED, please only treat the plant with it when the dark phase begins to avoid light burn on the leaves.
Otherwise, the water beads could create a kind of magnifying glass function, which would focus the light and burn the plant!

This process must now be repeated daily for approximately 14 to 21 days. After this time, the Cheshire grass will begin to form small pollen sacs. After the pollen sacs form, it takes some time for them to swell and mature enough to burst open and pollinate the flowers!

If you check your Ganja Ladies daily, you'll know when they're ripe. Once ripe, you'll hear them crack slightly, and shortly thereafter, they'll burst open.

From this moment on, it is up to the weed gardener to decide whether to leave it to the plant to pollinate itself or to use this phenomenon to cross new genetics.

The pollen sacs can be carefully harvested with fine nail scissors and collected in a small container. Now all you need is a fine natural-hair brush, and you can use it to dust the flowers of other strains with the pollen in circular motions, creating your own hybrids.

As already mentioned, this method is 100% safe and guaranteed to lead to success. It's how the cannabis seed industry produces its feminized seeds.

However, I am NOT from the industry and am a passionate cannabis home grower who, out of a thirst for research, is keen to uncover all the secrets of the happy weed landscape. As a final method, I would like to introduce you to a technique that is completely free and, as a bonus, even allows you to save energy in an indoor tent for 2-3 weeks.

The yield of seeds will be slightly lower, but higher than with the stress and overripe method and has the advantage that the buds remain fully edible and consumable (the seeds should, of course, be sorted out beforehand).

4. Collect seeds through a planned light cycle.

For this method we don’t need any additional accessories other than our grow box!
Just as with the industrial technique using "colloidal silver", the process begins with photoperiod genetics when flowering begins and with automatics as soon as pre-flowering (white hairs on the nodes) are visible.

In contrast to the usual light cycle of 12/12, which is required for photoperiod genetics to initiate flowering, the timer is set to 6/18 to max. 8/16, so that the plants only receive 6 to a maximum of 8 hours of light per day!

We'll panic the Cheshire grass lady by making her believe she's bloomed too late and that it's already the depths of winter (in terms of daylight hours). You'll make her feel like a latecomer to an over-60 party, with no single guys left to breed with.

Within 14 to 21 days, the queen will begin to form abnormal male shoots with pollen sacs on the lower shoots! Once sufficient numbers are visible and mature, they can be "harvested" to pollinate the upper flowers.

After pollination, the timer can be set back to 12 hours of light so that the plant can finish flowering normally.

Of course, just like with the industrial method using "colloidal silver," you can also use the pollen obtained to pollinate other genetics and create your own crosses.

There are no limits here. Whether you want to cross pure THC strains to create flowers that exactly match your needs or cross CBD genetics with THC genetics to create a CBD/THC hybrid, it's all possible.
